We have been honored to be a part of a very special organization called Makarios located in the Dominican Republic throughout the last 4 years. Makarios is a faith-based school that was placed in a severely poverty stricken village where the children had no access to an education. The school meets the children’s educational needs in hopes that the children will graduate, find jobs and be able to put money back into their village which will in turn break the poverty cycle.
Each year we throw a gala to help raise funds to keep the school funded throughout the year. With our team of volunteers, we gather donations and sponsorships and we are able to put this event on through 100% donations!
Disch events was honored to plan, coordinate and design the event. We also brought in our custom purple up-lighting to transform the room and we donated the amazing blooms and centerpieces seen in the photos below.

It was a really special night, full of extremely generous guests. We are excited to see how the school has grown throughout this year through these generous donations and we are very much looking forward to this years gala at the end of the year!
